GPSG seeking senator applications
Senator applications are now being accepted for engineering, education, law and music
The Graduate and Professional Student Government (GPSG) Legislative Assembly is now accepting applications for senators for the following schools and colleges:
- College of Engineering
- School of Education
- School of Law
- College of Music
This paid role allows graduate and professional students to act as a “voice,” representing the best interests of their program, college, university and the graduate student body.
Senators attend weekly meetings, and join weekly advocacy and equity (Thursdays, 10 – 11 a.m.), awards and grants (Thursdays, 4:15 – 5 p.m.), or rules and finance (Tuesdays, 12 – 1 p.m.) committee meetings. They also vote on assembly matters prescribed in the , including GPSG legislation and graduate student appointments within GPSG or for the university.
No experience is necessary to apply. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis until all positions are filled. Interested graduate and professional students may complete this to be contacted and further the onboarding process.

The GPSG advocates on behalf of students with administration and provides support that benefits academic, professional and socioeconomic wellbeing, such as funding in the form of grants and awards. They also support initiatives that empower graduate and professional students’ ability to pursue their goals. More information about the group is available on their website.
