The Department of French and Italian invites you to a special concert by Italian-Egyptian rapper and social activist Amir Issa. This event is sponsored by an IMPART(Implementation of Multicultural Perspectives and Approaches in Research and Teaching) Award.
¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä Amir:
Born and raided in Rome from an Italian mother and an Egyptian father, Amir Issa is an internationally renowned hip-hop artist and social activist. He's among the founders of the legendary Rome Zoo, a group of Rome's rap artists. As part of his activist work he has held rap writing workshops in schools, prisons, and colleges across the world. In 2017, Amir published his first autobiographical book Vivo per questo (Chiarelettere), which was praised in Italy as one of the best books for young adults.
