John Crimaldi’s Odor Navigation Research Featured in KQED

CEAE Professor Dr. John Crimaldi is the lead PI for the Odor Navigation Project. The project is aiming to understand the behavior of odor plumes and their relation with animals’ brains in order to develop technology that can navigate based on odors. Dr. Crimaldi is using his lab to model the dissipation and behavior of odor plumes. Dr. Crimaldi and the rest of the Odor Navigation Project were recently featured in a about how they are studying dog’s noses to better understand odor’s relationship with animals’ brains.
