Holly Miller Received the 2017 Harlan Erker Memorial Scholarship
The Board of Directors of the Colorado Ground Water Association voted to award 's student Holly Miller the 2017 Harlan Erker Memorial Scholarship.
Project Description:
Holly Miller is working with the Delta County Environmental Health Department to develop a GIS based tool to build a groundwater quality risk assessment map of six counties in western Colorado. Groundwater is a primary source of drinking water in the region and private wells are unregulated in the state of Colorado. The map will provide well owners with information about their drinking water quality.
Holly Miller received my B.S. from the ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä Chemical Engineering Department in 2010. She has been working at INSTAAR as the Arikaree Environmental Laboratory Manager for the past 7 years. She is currently a M.S. candidate in the ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä Civil, Environmental, and Architectural Engineering Department directed by Professor Joe Ryan. On her free time, she enjoys the Colorado outdoors including hiking, skiing, rock climbing, white water rafting and fishing.
