Amber Blankenship, an architecture major and media production minor, chose to attend ENVD for its focus on environmental and sustainable design in architecture.
Tell us about your involvement and/or student leadership roles in and/or outside of ENVD.
Involvement in the solar decathlon, as well as personal hobbies in art, photography, hiking, boating and physical fitness. Always looking for adventure.
What inspired you to come to ENVD when choosing your school?
The focus on environmental and sustainable design in architecture.
What is one of the greatest experiences or lessons from your time at ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä Boulder that you'll carry with you into the next chapter of your life?
The buff bus waits for no man.
Based on what you know now, what is your best piece of advice for other students?
See and experience as much of the campus, clubs, activities, architecture and people that you can before another pandemic shuts it down.
Describe one of your favorite memories.
Meeting up with my Dad while studying abroad and drinking our first beer together in Scotland while watching a rugby game in a Scottish pub.
If you could say anything to your classmates what would you say?
Study abroad and explore as much of Colorado as you can.
What does graduating from college represent for you?
Accomplishment, pride, gratitude, adventure, opportunity and a lot of coffee.
What are your plans beyond graduation?
Taking a year off to convert my newly purchased bus into a tiny home, live in Kentucky for a year and then attend graduate school in Arizona for a master's degree in sustainable architecture.
