Architecture student wins honorable mention in 2018 Laka Competition

Dan Liu, a senior architecture student, won an in the . Assistant Clinical Professor Marianne Holbert encouraged her senior architecture studio to submit their designs to the competition.

The Laka Competition is an international architectural design competition, "which seeks innovative ideas that go far beyond typical building solutions, are socially engaged, capable of reacting to unpredictable conditions (environmental, natural, social) and provide safety for its inhabitants."

It is a highly competitive design competition with more than 130 entries and 200 participants from more than 30 countries. Winners were chosen by an international panel of judges. Learn more about .
