Professor Alan Weimer and staff will explain the program and offer insights into how to successfully leverage this opportunity. Lunch will be provided.

The NSF’s REU program provides stipends that help to recruit and retain talented students by involving research. These supplemental funds are available to anyone who already has NSF funding or is submitting a new NSF proposal. Undergraduate student participants in the program must be U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, or permanent residents of the United States.

Students do not apply to NSF to participate in REU activities. Students apply directly to NSF-funded investigators who receive REU Supplements.
