San Francisco Alumni Network gains steam
Kyle Judah, the College of Engineering and Applied Science’s first director of entrepreneurship, highlighted the advancements the college has made in innovation and entrepreneurship efforts across campus. Pitches from two exciting ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä Engineering student startups were also featured. Tim Morrissey, PhD candidate in mechanical engineering, represented Artimus Robotics (formerly HASEL), a team working to create high-performance, self-healing artificial muscles in the field of soft robotics. Layne Jackson Hubbard, PhD student in computer science, presented her venture, MindScribe, which builds playful robots to stimulate creativity and language development in children.
We look forward to continuing our regional alumni engagement efforts in the Bay Area, as well as launching ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä Engineering alumni networks in four more cities this upcoming year: Houston, Seattle, Los Angeles and Denver.
The Houston Alumni Network Launch will take place on Thursday, Jan. 24 at Karbach Brewery. For more information and to register, .
