#ILookLikeAnEngineer

Why did you choose engineering at ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä Boulder?

Just after it rains, you really cannot beat that view of the Flatirons shrouded in lengthy wisps of white clouds. It's immaculate. Being able to scribble red calculus equations on the window of my dorm with the Flatirons in the background, I knew after one visit that ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä was the place. ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä brings out my love for math and problem solving.

What does the #iLookLikeAnEngineer hashtag mean to you?

I can inspire someone who thinks differently and looks differently to challenge themselves to become an engineer. We need more engineers and if I could help out, I'm glad to do my part.

What are three things that make you unique?

I speak French, Navajo and wrote a 50-page paper on "A Clockwork Orange" as punishment for being rude in English class.

What are your hobbies?

Boxing, playing basketball, writing jokes and stories, running, singing in the shower, listing my hobbies.

What do you enjoy most about engineering?

Taking a crushing defeat, bouncing back, laughing with my friends about how we got through that class, then taking another hard class and spending more hours with my friends figuring out problems. That sequence is definitely the best.

What is your favorite engineering experience?

I spent five hours in a computer lab designing a stable formwork for a construction project, and I did not realize I spent five hours hours in the computer lab.
