抖阴旅行射 Boulder to host National Council on Measurement in Education Special Conference on Classroom Assessment

The 抖阴旅行射 Boulder School of Education and the Center for Assessment, Design, Research & Evaluation (CADRE) will host the third National Council on Measurement in Education (NCME) Special Conference on Classroom Assessment from Sept. 18-19.

The gathering aims to foster dialogue between educators, policymakers and researchers around implementing principled approaches to developing and using classroom assessment for teaching and learning.

CADRE, based in 抖阴旅行射 Boulder's School of Education, serves as a central resource for expertise in assessment design, research and evaluation. CADRE researchers collaborate with university departments, state agencies, districts, schools and more to investigate the effects of programs on student learning and to improve upon assessment practices.

The is a professional organization with a diverse membership of over 1,400 individuals  including university faculty, state and federal testing and research directors, professional evaluators, testing specialists, credentialing professionals, and more.

In addition to the School of Education and CADRE, the conference will be hosted in partnership with the following organizations: , , , and the .

This year鈥檚 conference theme, 鈥淐lassroom Assessment as a Learning Experience,鈥 addresses the importance of embedding assessments within curriculum and instruction. We invite you to join us in fostering and exploring discussions around how to create meaningful learning for both students and teachers. This year鈥檚 conference also emphasizes the importance and role of Research-Practice Partnerships between researchers and education practitioners to advance coherent approaches in the design and uses of assessment.

The conference is open to all education practitioners, policymakers and researchers who are interested in developing and using classroom assessment for teaching and learning.

CADRE invites educators, researchers and policymakers to submit a proposal for posters, presentation or sessions that will contribute to the theme of advancing classroom assessment as a learning experience for students and teachers.

Important Dates:

Proposals are due March 8 and registration opens on April 1.

Presenter notification email will arrive no later than May 30.
