SarahDawn was an active student 2005-08 and a founding member of the ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä Environmental Justice committee, and has been full time staff since January 2009. Over the years she has helped produce conferences, support zero waste staff, welcome new cohorts, and coordinate volunteers. Currently her role focuses on supporting the outreach and engagement team and Sustainable Buffs in the Neighborhood. That includes services like EcoVisits, outreach on living with wildlife, move in/out from the city, Green Greeks, and a team of students who lead campus tours and engage with the broader campus community on opportunities and resources available at the Ecenter.Ìý

She also advises many clubs, offers support for class assignments, senior thesis projects, and interns on a variety of sustainability topics. She has been on the Tree Campus committee for over a decade and has worked with faculty and staff on other shorter term projects to serve campus sustainability and outreach and engagement professionals.ÌýÌý

Her passions are focused on justice through housing, anti-racism and indigenous rights through her personal and professional circles.Ìý She loves training crew leaders with Wildlands Restoration Volunteers, leading restoration and trail projects; chairs the Executive Committee of the local Sierra Club; and backcountry skiing. As of fall of 2022 she is a graduate student in CMCI’s Media and Public Engagement program. Her research interests include the nexus of Futures Studies and Media studies through exploring artifacts from the future as a media form to express hope and growing a vision for restoring our relations to each other and the planet.Ìý
