Exciting news: MS-EE degree becomes MS-ECE starting fall 2025
Beginning fall 2025, the University of Colorado Boulder’s Department of Electrical, Computer & Energy Engineering is excited to announce that the Master of Science in Electrical Engineering (MS-EE) will be officially renamed the Master of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering (MS-ECE).

Why the change?

This change ensures that graduates are better positioned to stand out in a rapidly evolving job market.
What this means for the future
The updated MS-ECE degree name is part of a larger effort to ensure that the department’s degree titles reflect the full scope of innovative research and learning opportunities available while also aligning with the evolving needs of students and employers in today’s interconnected world.Ìý
