Laurie Hathorn Elected as CWA Community Vice-Chair

Laurie Hathorn has been elected by the Conference on World Affairs Program Committee chairs to serve as Community Vice-Chair for the 2017-18 academic year. The Vice-Chair assists the Community Chair with CWA Program Committee oversight and conference planning.

Hathorn began volunteering with the conference in 2015, serving on the Business and Arts subcommittees, the Housing committee, and currently serves as a member of the Business Planning committee. She is a former entrepreneur with businesses in New York City and now resides in Boulder spending her time supporting and volunteering with local organizations. Hathorn is a mentor for ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä Boulder students in the Leeds School of Business and is establishing an endowment for flute student success at the ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä Boulder College of Music.

"I am so pleased to welcome Laurie as CWA Community Vice-Chair," said Betsy Hand, CWA Community Chair. "She brings valuable professional experience to the team as a former business owner, and is a wise and logical thinker with a big picture perspective. She is a wonderful new voice for the CWA!"
