An Evening to Remember
¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä-Boulder Alumni Association to honor nine during Back to Boulder Homecoming Weekend
The Annual Alumni Association Awards Ceremony is one of ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä-Boulder’s oldest and strongest traditions. Since the creation of the George Norlin Award in 1930, it has formally recognized some of the university’s finest alumni, students, faculty and staff.
This year’s nine winners will be honored Thursday, Oct. 23, at the Hotel Boulderado. In addition to a ceremony emceed by 9News reporter Chris Vanderveen (Jour’96), there will be opportunities to mingle with the winners over wine, heavy hors d’oeuvres and dessert. This year’s honorees are Forever Buffs Student Award winner Chip Bollendonk; Leanne Skupa-Lee Award winner Thomas Selnau; Alumni Recognition Award winner Karin Rutstein (IntlBus’87); Kalpana Chawla Outstanding Recent Graduate Award winner Avery Bang (MCivEngr’09); Robert L. Stearns Award winners Leonard Baca, Paul Mintken and Bruce Jakosky; and George Norlin Award winners Ed Steinbrecher (EdD’73) and Philip Howard Karsh&²Ô²ú²õ±è;(´³´Ç³Ü°ù’57).
The ceremony is the kickoff event for Back to Boulder Homecoming Weekend.
