Ralphie’s Green Stampede, which has made Folsom Field a zero-waste facility during football games since 2008, is being expanded to all athletic events. Last year the Green Stampede resulted in the collection of more than 40 tons of recyclables and compostables, and a 30 percent reduction in overall waste.

Former basketball and baseball player Ron “Wrigs” Wrigley (PE’75) died on Sept. 27 after a three-year battle with cancer. Wrigley played varsity basketball at from 1972 to ’75, and lettered in baseball in 1974. He was 55.

Former Colorado State track and field athlete Drew Morano was named ’s sprint and hurdles coach for the track season and former runner Dathan Ritzenhein (Hist’06) broke the American record in the 5,000-meter run by posting a time of 12 minutes, 56.27 seconds in a late-August meet in Switzerland.
