After you record the footage... using the Insta 360 Studio software

To get the footage into a program that enables you to add interactive tags, you first need to download the Insta 360 Studio software. The lab computers in the Armory should already have this software uploaded. But we encourage you to get the software (it's free) onto your own devices, especially your mobile phones. Having this software provides you with features that enable better control over the camera, including when to snap the picture.

1. To download the Insta 360 Studio software go to: https://www.insta360.com/download/insta360-onex2

The .dng files are photos. Drag and drop these files to the Insta 360 Studio import space. The files will then load into the software.

Export

You now need to export the files, which will convert them into .jpg for photos and .mp4 for video. Click on the Start Export button in the lower right corner.

In the export settings for a photo, use the default settings.

For video, select 360 degree view, and H.264 encoding format with a bitrate of 200. The resolution should be set to 3840x1920. You can also name the file and select a destination for the export.

Now that you've exported it's time to put these files into Thinglink and do some editing!
