Ph.D. Sport & Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology Emphasis, University of Northern Colorado, 2019.
Research Interests: My early research focused on exploring the benefits of physical activity on skeletal muscle and cardiovascular health during and after chemotherapy treatment. Following the legalization of recreational cannabis in Colorado I began to gradually transition into exploring how the chronic use of cannabis affected physical performance and parameters of overall health. The majority of my research involving cannabis has been exploring parameters of cardiovascular, neural, and immune health. Recently, I have been exploring how monocytes, a type of white blood cell, are impacted by cannabis use in assessing how they respond to immune stimuli such as infections or tissue damage.Ìý
¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä Me: I was born and raised in Colorado. Naturally, I love spending my free time outdoors. My wife and I love to ride our bikes and go hiking as often as we can. We also enjoy exploring the amazing craft beer scene that Colorado has to offer, and it’s not uncommon to find us enjoying a cold pint after a long day outside.
