AREN Block Diagram

The block diagram shows the required classes and standard four-year graduation plan for your major.  Your curriculum requirements are based on when you officially entered the civil engineering program.

Important to know:

  • The AREN curriculum consists of 128 non-duplicative credit hours.  The last 45 credits must be fulfilled with ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä Boulder coursework only (¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä-approved study abroad excepted).
  • All courses on the block diagram are required.  In some cases, an equivalent course may be substituted - contact your advisor with questions.
  • Four-year graduation is guaranteed for students who follow the block diagram.  Talk to your advisor before deviating from the block diagram to understand any possible impacts to your graduation date.
