¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä Boulder's McNair Scholars Program

We are the McNair Scholars Program! We are a federally funded program with the goal of increasing the attainment of doctoral degrees by students who are first-generation & low-income, or otherwise underrepresented in graduate education. You are receiving this message because you are involved in an organization that works with the kind of students we are trying to recruit.

If you are a sophomore or junior interested in going to graduate school or getting a doctorate, please consider applying to be a McNair Scholar. During the academic year, we hold monthly workshops designed to help you become a competitive applicant to graduate school, prepare for graduate application cycle, or get ready for graduate school itself.

Our program participants receive a scholarship of $2000 per academic year and are mentored by graduate students, faculty, and program staff. We connect our students to research opportunities both on and off campus, and enroll them in a summer internship to help them prepare for fellowship applications, graduate school admissions, and conference presentations.

If you are a first-year student or not eligible for the main program, consider signing up for the McNair Research Academy! This is a brand-new program designed to help students who are interested in the idea of going to graduate school, but are not sure, or just want to learn a bit more about how to successfully prepare or apply for graduate school. See our website for info or meeting times.
