Just a short, two minute walk from the Koelbel Building (home of the Leeds School of Business) is the Center for Community, or C4C for short. Aside from various student resources, offices and conference rooms inside, there are several options to choose from including the (for sandwiches, salads, pizzas, calzones and ice cream), (for sandwiches and hot/cold options as you run to your next meeting), (for coffee, pastries and on-the-go lunch options) and the crown jewel of them all, the self-titled, dining center.
Are you in the mood for Asian food? They have it.
Middle Eastern cuisine? Check.
Keeping it Kosher? No problem.
Craving Sushi? You bet!
Hungry for a bacon double cheeseburger, two slices of pizza, a burrito bowl and a cone of soft serve ice cream? They’re ready for you.
And that’s just a few of the options available throughout the C4C dining hall. In total, it’s made up of ten, yes TEN micro-restaurants to create a culinary experience that far exceeds your previous definition of a college dining hall.
Additionally, Campus Dining Services tries to when possible, reduce food waste through education and composting and the entire building is certified as LEED Platinum rating from the US Green Building Council. All of this for a price of around $8 per person using .
Finally, a pro tip for those of you that like to snack while studying or working. The C4C is generally open from 7am to 8pm. If you feel so inclined, you can head in for breakfast, do some work, grab a salad and a piece of pizza for lunch, do more work, enjoy some fried rice, kalua pork and a hot dog for dinner, do more work and top it all off with a DIY ice cream sandwich for dessert. Go forth and eat on campus near Koelbel with confidence!
