Application Instructions
After reviewing the information below and gathering your materials, please complete the Official University of Colorado Boulder Graduate School application.
To support your application, please also submit:
1. A résumé or curriculum vitae
2. A3-5 page statement of purpose
- The statement of purpose should detailyour academic and professional interest in the MS-CTD degree, indicating which track you intend to pursue (Social Impact or Creative Industries). You should also discuss longer term goals and describe how your background prepares you to pursue this degree.
3. Apersonalweb site or onlineportfolio of your work
- What have you done that you’re especially pleased about?
- Clearly credit all authors and collaborators on each work. Include aURL on your résumé and/or in your statement of purpose (include password information if your site is restricted).
- This might comprise software, hardware, design or multimedia production or performance, or research papers.
4. Threeletters of recommendationfrom individuals qualified to judge your potential for success in graduate school
- Recommenders willsubmit letters directly online.
5. Unofficial transcriptsfrom eachinstitution of higher learning that you have attended
6. Test Scores:
- ATLAS accepts but does not require the Graduate RecordExam (GRE).
International Students

STEM-OPT: All students in all ATLAS degree programs are eligible for extended STEM-OPT. The CIP code for these programs is 15.0000 [“Engineering Technology, General”]
English Proficiency: Ifyour native language is not English, you must submit a documented TOEFL iBT score, Duolingo proficiency test score orIELTS score.

- Minimum iBT score: 100
- The Boulder TOEFL institution code is 4841.(Boulder Admissions does not usedepartment codes.)
- Duolingo:
- Proficiency test scores of 125 or higher
- IELTS:
- Minimum score: 7.0
