Meet Mark Gammon, ASSETT DATC

Mark has moved on to a new position since this article was written. If you need support of the type described here, please find one of the other ATCs (formerly DATCs) on our Contact page.

If you have a question about how to use technology in your teaching, one person you can call on is Mark Gammon, an ASSETT Distributed Academic Technology Coordinator (DATC). Mark is a full-time staff member dedicated to supporting teachers in the College as a consultant and trainer, helping them learn to use educational technologies, answering questions and exploring ideas for enhancing teaching.

Mark is particularly interested in the social implications of new technologies, especially social and mobile tools such as Facebook/MySpace, Twitter, instant messaging, and mobile phones. This was a subject he explored in depth in his dissertation. Mark has a PhD in Sociology from the University of Massachusetts.

You can reach Mark at Mark.Gammon@colorado.edu, 303-735-3295, or stop by his office in Humanities 1B60.
