Startup hubDeciding what college to attend involves reviewing a lot of factors, but it’s definitely worth the time and effort to find the best fit for you. If you are still in the process of making that decision, and are considering ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä Boulder, we want you to know a few things that make us different, exceptional and unique. Most importantly, we want you to know how our programming is centered around you, the student, and your well-being. How do we do this?

A world-class education

Of course, one of the most important factors to consider when choosing your college is the quality of your education. You can be assured that as a Buff, you’ll be getting a world-class education. We offer over 3,900 courses in 150 different fields of study and we encourage our students to explore their interests by taking courses across academic disciplines and forging their unique educational journey.

We know that education happens out of the classroom too, and ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä makes a concerted effort to create a community that fosters entrepreneurship. While there are always amazing events and speakers coming to campus, we also just invested in a more permanent space where student innovators can come together to collaborate—the ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä Startup Hub—a makerspace located in the new Village Center. This 1,975 square foot room comes with virtual reality equipment, 3D printers, sewing machines and more. Essentially, the space has everything you need to create a prototype or test out a new idea. We make sure that students have the tools needed to make dreams a reality.

We want you to find your calling

Whether you’re looking for career support or simply want to volunteer, there are many options at ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä. College is a time to push your intellectual boundaries and experiment in different disciplines. We take that to heart and strive to present you with all kinds of different experiences and opportunities so that you can not only pursue a degree, but find your calling in life. These are just some of the ways you can get involved at ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä!

¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä supports life outside the classroom too

College is not just about academics. ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä offers plenty of opportunities to get involved outside the classroom. Whether you want to find a niche group through our Center for Student Involvement, join your hall council or blow off some steam at one of our recreation centers, there’s sure to be a place to find your community of people.

Eating well is our passion

¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä makes it a point to help students stay healthy by providing award-winning and nutritional support services. One of our latest points of pride is The Village Center in Williams Village. The 109,000 square foot building boasts a five-station dining experience, featuring everything from all-day breakfast and a full salad bar to Mediterranean specialties and fresh curry bowls. Healthy eating is easy with a wide variety of selections and options that can accommodate almost anyone, including those with food allergies as well as vegetarian, kosher and halal diets. When you’re not sure what is healthy, our dietitians with and Wardenburg Health Services can map out a personalized plan for you.

And don’t forget to check out the new greenhouse. As part of our mission to lead the way in sustainability, we’ve built a 3,000 square foot slated to open spring semester 2018 at the Village Center. Utilizing aeroponic towers, ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä will have one of the only university greenhouses in the country that is also attached to a dining center, providing greens that will travel virtually zero miles to your plate. A true farm-to-table experience!

Work-life balance applies to students too

There has been a renewed focus in maintaining a proper work-life balance for people in the workforce, but we know that this is important for you, as a student, too. ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä has made it a point to focus on the emotional health of students during their college years. We also know that this is going to look different for each of you! Whether balance means finding time at the gym, getting out into nature for a breather (you can literally walk to trails from your residence hall) or finding more professional support through ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä’s Counseling and Psychiatric Services (CAPS), ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä is here to support your emotional needs.

Bonus Reason - A school that’s part of a community

We can talk all day about all of the different things that make the University of Colorado such a wonderful place, but the most important part of ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä Boulder is Buff pride. Becoming a Buff at ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä doesn’t just mean that you are going to receive a world-class education—it means that you are becoming a part of a community of smart, dedicated and inspiring individuals. A community that will define your college years and support you throughout the rest of your life.

Becoming a Buff is a huge decision, but we hope this information has made it a little bit easier. If you do decide to come to the University of Colorado, welcome to the family! We can’t wait to meet you.
